On September 23rd, director Mitani Koki lectured for the first time at his alma mater, Nihon University's Faculty of Arts. In front of 100 students, he discussed his works and his opinions on being a film director.
During the Q&A session, Mitani advised, "I have a job that I like,soI've never felt stress. The moment you feel stress, you know that you're not suited for that job." He continued, "In the future, if you ever win the screenplay award or the director award at the Academy Awards, I want you to thank me first."
Mitani's lecture will air on WOWOW's special program, 'Mitani no Daigaku', on November 3rd. From November 1st to the 3rd, a special compilation of his t.v. dramas, stage plays, and movies will air on WOWOW's three channels (premium, live, and cinema) as a part of '50 Year Anniversary! Mitani Koki no Hi'.
