On March 24th, talento SHEILA (39) announced through her agency that she has given birth to her first child.

According to the announcement, SHEILA gave birth to a baby girl on the 23rd at 1:00 pm at a hospital in Tokyo. Her newborn daughter weighed 2,850 grams (6lb 4oz) and is in healthy condition.

On the same day, SHEILA shared on her official blog, "I was able to have an easy delivery in just 4 hours." She also revealed that there were troubles at one point when the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck, but stated that everything turned out smoothly.

SHEILA expressed her happiness saying, "Every time I'm in the room alone with baby, I'm so moved that tears start to come out of my eyes. She's so cute and dear, I'm overjoyed. I feel I'm at the most happiest point of my life."

SHEILA is half Japanese and half Cuban, who started her talento career through her office work experience. She is also active as a model and a sportscaster. She held a ceremony for her marriage in October of 2010 and then a year later in 2011 she announced her pregnancy.
