On April 12, actress Kikukawa Rei (41) announced the birth of her first child. 

Kikukawa reported, "It's a sudden announcement, but I, Kikukawa Rei, delivered a baby in this beautiful season of sakura."

She continued to express, "I feel really happy to have met our child who was born healthy. It would make me happy if you would watch over us warmly." She has not revealed the baby's birthdate or sex.

Kikukawa married businessman Akita Yoshiteru in April of 2017.
