On July 24th, Horipro announced that actor Yamazaki Yuta (39) has contracted the novel coronavirus. 

His agency explained, "On the night of July 19th, he felt fatigued so he went to bed right away, and felt fine the following day. However, on the night of the 22nd, he had a low-grade fever, then on the morning of the 23rd, he had a fever of 38℃ (100.4°F) so he took the antibody test that evening which later came back positive." They continued, "Although he hasn't taken the PCR test, he is experiencing a distorted sense of taste, so he has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus." 

Currently, Yamazaki is hospitalized in Tokyo with a fever and taste disorder. He will devote himself to recuperation following instructions from the hospital and public health center.
