It's been reported that AKB48 member Takita Kayoko has contracted the new coronavirus. 

On July 9th, Takita had a low-grade fever of 37.2℃ (98.9°F), but returned to normal temperature the following day. To be cautious, she refrained from going outdoors and avoided seeing other people. She then experienced a loss of taste and smell from the 11th, and received the PCR test on the 18th. On July 19th, the result came back positive. 

Takita is currently recovering at home. She has no fever nor is feeling fatigued. She has also gotten her sense of taste and smell back. Following orders from the public health center, she will be hospitalized from July 20th to receive treatment. 

Since April, Takita had been working remotely from home. On July 2nd, she met with AKB48 Team 4 member Tatsuya Makiho, but there currently haven't been any changes to her health. With instruction from the public health center, Tatsuya will receive the PCR test if needed. 

No other members or staff have come into contact Takita or Tatsuya in the month of July. They also have not visited the AKB48 Theater. As such, the other members will continue their activities as scheduled.
