It's been reported that actor Yokohama Ryusei (23) has been hospitalized after contracting the novel coronavirus.

His agency announced, "On July 21st (Tuesday), it was confirmed that our agency's Yokohama Ryusei has contracted the novel coronavirus."

On July 20th, on his way home from rehearsal for his stage play, Yokohama felt a sense of fatigue and recorded a fever. From there he went straight to a medical institution where he received an antibody test as well as a PCR test. Later that night, the result for the antibody test came back positive.

Though the PCR test result wasn't out, after discussion with the public health center and because of the positive antibody test, he was diagnosed with coronavirus. As such, he is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment. 

Yokohama was scheduled to star in the stage play 'Ganryujima' from August 6th, and the drama 'Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru' from August 12th.
