THE ORAL CIGARETTES members Suzuki Shigenobu (G) and Akirakani Akira (B, Cho) have both tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the band's official website, Akiraka ni Akira broke out with a fever on the 26th so he conducted the PCR test. After learning that he had been infected with the virus, Suzuki, who had recently come in close contact, took the antigen test on the 27th and was confirmed positive as well.

The two are now experiencing fever and fatigue, and are self-isolating at home. The other members Yamanaka Takuya (Vo, G) and Nakanishi Masaya (Dr) have been tested as well and are waiting for their results. 

Consequently, Akirakani Akira's online live 'Akirakani Akira no Online Base Juku' on the 27th and the band's online event for fan club members on the 28th have been postponed.
