Sakamoto Maaya has announced her pregnancy.

Sakamoto married voice actor Suzumura Kenichi in 2011. She commented, "At this time, we have been fortunate to be blessed with a baby. I will be giving birth next year. I feel happy that something that we've waited for a long time has come true."

Sakamoto also revealed that she took a break from her activities after her doctor instructed her to rest for a few months. Her condition is now stable and she plans to resume her activities little by little while considering her health.
