On January 10, it was announced that NGT48's captain Kado Yuria will graduate from the group on March 31. 

Kado passed NGT48's first generation audition in January of 2015 and has been serving as the group's second captain since September of 2019. According to her Twitter account, Kado had decided on graduating about two years ago. In addition to graduating, she will be retiring from showbiz. 

Additionally, Kado nominated Fujisaki Miyu as the next captain explaining that "thinking of various patterns, I thought she was the only one," and "the number one deciding factor is her strong love for NGT." 

Finally, it was announced that NGT48 will be holding their third generation audition.
