Nakamaru Yuichi of KAT-TUN will be debuting as a manga artist in the August issue of youth manga magazine 'Gekkan Afternoon' out on June 23.
Throughout the years, Nakamaru has demonstrated creative talent, such as voice percussion, illustration, and video-editing. After drawing the 'Stay Home Comic Strip' for Johnny's Group's 'Johnny's Smile Up! Project' in 2020, he officially started creating manga.
Three years later, Nakamura will be debuting with a short serialization titled 'Yamada-kun no Zawameku Jikan' in 'Gekkan Afternoon.' It's a short story that will portray the daily life of Yamada Oichi, a young man who is bothered and stirred up by various things.
Nakamaru commented, "It's a dream I once gave up in middle school, but I felt that I could make it come true now after I have gained so much experience. It took about seven years since I started aiming for it earnestly. It's called persistence."
