A new NARUTO manga titled NARUTO SHADOW RISING and a four-episode crossover anime titled NARUTO × NINKU have been announced.
The new manga will be created by original NARUTO author Masashi Kishimoto. A teaser video featuring familiar characters, including Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi, has been released.
More details about the manga will be announced at Jump Festa 2027, scheduled for December 19–20 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.
Meanwhile, the four-episode crossover anime NARUTO × NINKU will follow a young Naruto as he accidentally enters the world of NINKU during a mission. The original story will bring Team 7 together with NINKU protagonist Fusuke and his companions.
The anime will be supervised by Kishimoto and NINKU creator Koji Kiriyama. Kishimoto explained that NINKU was a major inspiration behind NARUTO and that he had long wanted to see a continuation of the series.
Kishimoto commented, "Without NINKU, NARUTO would not exist. I created NARUTO because I wanted to see more of NINKU. My dream has come true."
