
Kazunari Ninomiya, a beloved member of the group Arashi, has been officially announced as the actor portraying Hikaru Kamiki in the live-action adaptation of Oshi no Ko. This news has sparked excitement among fans eager to see his take on one of the story’s most enigmatic characters.
The film, titled Oshi no Ko – The Final Act, continues the story from the live-action drama series currently streaming on Prime Video. The series’ latest episodes, released on December 5, inch closer to unraveling the mystery behind Ai’s death, highlighting Aqua’s growing determination for revenge. As the narrative deepens, Kamiki’s name comes to the forefront, setting the stage for his impactful debut.

Originally serialized in Weekly Young Jump, the Oshi no Ko manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari tells the riveting story of twins Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, reincarnated as the children of iconic idol Ai Hoshino. The plot delves into the darker sides of fame and entertainment, intertwining themes of betrayal, ambition, and redemption.
Reflecting on his role, Ninomiya shared his thoughts: “I understand there may be varied opinions about this casting. For fans wondering who would play Hikaru Kamiki, I hope my performance allows them to view the character positively. I participated with the hope of bringing meaning to this role.”
