Number_i’s Yuta Kishi attended the grand opening of Banana Republic’s new Toranomon Hills store in Tokyo on January 30. As the brand’s first-ever Japanese ambassador, Kishi expressed his excitement about the role, saying, “I’m honored and surprised.”

Dressed in a store-exclusive cream-colored set-up, Kishi praised the outfit’s balance of elegance and comfort. “It looks so refined, yet it’s easy to move in—I feel like I could dance anytime!” he remarked.

With Banana Republic’s theme of travel in mind, Kishi was asked about a destination he’d love to visit.

After some thought, he answered, “the Amazon.” A longtime fan of ancient fish, particularly the arowana, he shared his dream of seeing them in the wild from a boat. “I don’t know if it’ll be in decades, but it’s a dream for the future,” he said.

From his debut with Number_i last year to his growing influence in fashion, Kishi continues to take on new challenges in 2025.
