Sumire Tashiro has officially announced her graduation from OCHA NORMA and Hello! Project. After taking a hiatus due to health concerns in September 2024, she shared that while her condition has since improved, she ultimately decided that continuing activities as before would be difficult.
In a statement, Tashiro expressed deep gratitude to fans for their support, acknowledging the impact they had on her journey. “I was able to give my all thanks to everyone who cheered me on. I truly appreciate it,” she wrote. Reflecting on her time with OCHA NORMA, she described the past three years as irreplaceable and emphasized how much she loved working in the industry.
Tashiro, who joined Hello! Project in December 2021, had a passion for music, particularly K-pop and Western music, and enjoyed photography and dance. She leaves with appreciation for the experiences she gained and intends to move forward while cherishing the lessons learned.
Hello! Project and Up-Front Promotion also released a statement supporting Tashiro’s decision and encouraging fans to continue supporting both her and OCHA NORMA in the future.
