ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION has announced that they will release their new self-titled album, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, on January 27, 2027. The album marks their first full-length release in approximately five years, following 2022's Planet Folks.

The band celebrated their 30th anniversary in April 2026, kicking off the milestone with their two-day 30th Anniversary Special Concert 'Thirty Revolutions' at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on April 4 and 5. They have also performed internationally in Indonesia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Brazil.

The upcoming album will feature previously released songs, including anime theme songs "Skins" and "Life Is Beautiful," as well as "Okaeri Johnny," "MAKUAKE," and "Times." New tracks for the album were recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, a location the band members had long dreamed of recording at.

Additional details, including the full track list and Blu-ray content included with the limited edition, will be announced at a later date.

Meanwhile, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION will kick off their Midage Fanclub tour on October 17, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their third album, Fanclub.
