On March 31, actor Mokomichi Hayami announced that he will be leaving his agency, Ken-On, effective the same day.

In a handwritten message, Hayami apologized for the sudden news and expressed his gratitude, reflecting on his journey since entering showbiz in his late teens. He thanked his supporters and industry colleagues, calling the connections he has made "invaluable," and promised to continue striving to bring joy and value through his work. He also said that April 1 would mark the start of a new chapter and asked fans for their continued support.

Ken-On confirmed his departure on its official website, adding that his official website will be closed as of March 31.

Born in Tokyo in 1984, Hayami debuted as an actor in 2002 and rose to fame with the 2005 drama 'Gokusen.' In addition to appearing in numerous films and TV dramas, he gained widespread attention for his cooking segment "MOCO’S Kitchen" on 'ZIP!.' He has also published several cookbooks, many of which have become bestsellers. Hayami married actress Aya Hirayama in August 2019.
