AKB48's Manaka Taguchi has announced that she will graduate from the group on June 22.

The announcement was made on April 18 during a "RESET" stage performance at the AKB48 Theater in Tokyo. Her comment was later shared on the group's official website and blog.

Reflecting on her time as an idol, Taguchi said, "I may not have followed the typical path, and I know there were times I may have caused sadness. I’m truly sorry. Despite that, I always wanted to make everyone happy, and I continued running forward to show you beautiful moments."

She added, "If even for a moment, I was able to bring you joy or happiness, then I believe my time as an idol was meaningful."

Details regarding Taguchi's graduation performance will be announced at a later date.
