Hinatazaka46 announced that its 17th single, "Kind of love," will be released on May 20. 

The announcement was made on April 5 during the second day of the group's '7th Hinatan Birthday Festival' at Yokohama Stadium. During the double encore, a video introduced the new single, followed by the lineup reveal and a live debut of the track.

Fourth-generation member Kaho Fujishima was revealed as the center. Fujishima previously served as co-center for Hinatazaka46’s 12th single alongside fellow fourth-generation member Yoko Shogenji. This marks her first time as the sole center.

The front row will feature Shogenji, Fujishima, and Manami Ono (fifth generation), marking the first time that only fourth- and fifth-generation members have formed the front line. The full senbatsu lineup is listed below. 

In addition, a live concert titled '17th Single Hinatazaka46 LIVE' by the group’s under members was also announced.
