On April 10, AKB48 member Kurumi Suzuki announced via the group's official blog that she will be graduating. 

The announcement was made during the 'Koko kara da' theater performance held on the same day. In her statement, Suzuki said, "I, Kurumi Suzuki, will be graduating from AKB48. To all the fans who found me and supported me over the past nine and a half years, thank you so much."

Reflecting on her time with the group, she added, "I joined AKB48 at the age of 12. Both as an idol and as a person, I was still inexperienced. Being part of AKB48 helped me grow into who I am today."

She continued, "There were many times I made mistakes, but each time, I was supported by fans, fellow members, and staff who stood by my side. That's how I’ve been able to continue until now."

Suzuki concluded, "Although my time left is limited, I want to spend it expressing my gratitude and giving back the love I've received from fans. Thank you for your continued support until the very end." Her graduation concert is scheduled to be held on May 15. 

Suzuki joined AKB48 as a 16th-generation member in 2016 and was later assigned to Team A in 2017. She has also been recognized as part of the group’s "gravure senbatsu."
