The first lineup of artists has been announced for 'THE MUSIC DAY 2026,' which will air live on July 4 on NTV.

Broadcast live from Makuhari Messe, the annual music special will run for nine and a half hours and be hosted by Sho Sakurai for the 14th consecutive year.

This year's theme is "Stories of Music," reflecting the idea that exploring the stories behind music can lead to new discoveries and a renewed appreciation for songs that have stood the test of time.

The first wave of performers includes Aina the End, IVE, CUTIE STREET, SUPER BEAVER, SixTONES, Kento Nakajima, Naniwa Danshi, Number_i, NiziU, NEWS, HANA, BE:FIRST, Marcy, and M!LK.

A second round of performers, along with details about special segments, will be announced during the June 16 broadcast of 'Yoru no Oto - TOKYO MIDNIGHT MUSIC -.'
