Tokyo International Forum will temporarily close for large-scale renovation work from January 1, 2029, through March 31, 2030.

The closure comes as the venue approaches its 30th anniversary, with renovations planned to address aging facilities and equipment and ensure the building remains safe and comfortable for future visitors.

During the 15-month closure period, there will be no public access to the property. The renovation schedule may also be adjusted depending on the construction progress.

The venue previously carried out repairs and equipment upgrades across its halls between July 2024 and February 2025 as part of ongoing efforts to address wear as well as to modernize its facilities.
