Following UNISON SQUARE GARDEN's hiatus, bassist Tomoya Tabuchi has announced that he will also be stepping away from his own activities.
Following the band's final performance on July 15, Tabuchi announced on social media that he will be taking a hiatus from most of his activities. He also shared that he plans to close his Instagram account, saying it had mainly been used to promote his music.
He added that he will continue his involvement with Tajigen Seigyo Kiko Yodaka, where he serves as a support bassist, and the voice actor music unit DIALOGUE+, which he has produced for many years. Aside from those commitments, however, he said he feels as though he is "taking a step away from the industry."
Although he did not specify when he might return, Tabuchi emphasized that this is not a farewell, saying, "It might be in a few years, or it might be in a month. There are no guarantees. The key is to stay alive."
He concluded his message by encouraging fans to continue enjoying music, adding, "There will always be more great music to discover. We'll be okay. Let's keep living."
