Voice actor Kentaro Ito will temporarily suspend his activities after suffering a brain hemorrhage, his agency Mausu Promotion announced.

According to the agency, Ito recently became ill at home and was taken to a hospital, where doctors discovered a brain hemorrhage. He underwent emergency surgery the same day.

Ito's agency said that his life is not in danger and he is recovering well following the surgery. He is currently focusing on rehabilitation as he works toward returning to his activities. The timing of his return will be announced at a later date.

Ito is known for numerous anime roles, including Renji Abarai in BLEACH, Jin Tadokoro in Yowamushi Pedal, Yoshitake Shiraishi in Golden Kamuy, and Boss in the Hamtaro series.
