It was announced last week that the popular manga series Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso will be made into a live action drama, but it was only recently revealed that actress Ishihara Satomi would be taking on the title role of fake psychic, Odagiri Kyoko.

Satomi's character is a beautiful psychic who uses her supposed powers to help the authorities solve crimes.� In actuality though, Kyoko has no real psychic powers to speak of, but instead uses her superior intuition to solve cases, and she must continually play up the psychic side of her story to help save lives.

Actor Tanihara Shosuke plays Taniguchi Ichiro, a handsome man who eventually becomes Kyoko's partner.� You may recognize Shosuke from his hilarious antics in the drama Mop Girl or the film Handsome Suit, so it'll be interesting to see how his character fleshes out.

Quite frankly, the concept for Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso reminds me a lot of the American show, Psych, which is a success of its own, so this drama might be one to look forward to.

The show is due to air in October on TV Asahi every Sunday at 11:00 PM.
