A remake of 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time' is set to be released sometime this year. The announcement was made during the Nintendo Direct presentation streamed on June 9.
Originally released for the Nintendo 64 in November 1998, 'Ocarina of Time' is considered one of the most influential action-adventure games of all time.
Set in the kingdom of Hyrule, the story follows a young boy named Link, who embarks on a quest after receiving the Kokiri's Emerald from the Great Deku Tree. His journey leads him to Princess Zelda, who warns him of a threat to Hyrule and sends him on a quest involving three Spiritual Stones and the Ocarina of Time.
First launched in 1986, 'The Legend of Zelda' franchise has spanned four decades and remains one of Nintendo's most successful and beloved series.
