Here's some fun news for fellow K- & J-pop fans from the southeastern States!
You may be excited to hear about a new venture by two undergraduates at Southeastern Louisiana University, where they have decided to start up their very own radio station dedicated wholly to East Asian music. They're calling it the "Flaming Hares" and will broadcast their first show this Sunday, the 17th from their university communications department radio station.
Lately K- & J-pop fans south of the Mason-Dixon are finding more like-minds and steadily growing in numbers in part due to social media and sharing sites such as YouTube, but also thanks to go-get-em enthusiasts like the Flaming Hares. They have not been shy on the social media front either; you can follow their venture on Tumblr, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
If you're in the Louisiana area, tune in to KSLU 90.9FM on October 17, 7pm-8pm local time for the Flaming Hares' debut broadcast. The rest of the world will be able to listen in here.
