Japan's most popular girl group, AKB48, had a memorable year in 2010 with their 18th single, "Beginner".

Starting on October 27th, the single sold 827,000 copies in just its first week - two weeks later, on November 10th, the group acquired the "Million" certification mark from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). It was the first time any AKB48 song had ever achieved the "Million" mark, and we're sure that they're capable of doing it again.
