On March 1st, "ROOKIES" actor Sato Ryuta (31) made his "debut" as a stand-up comedian at the Namba Grande Kagetsu (NGK) comedy theatre in Osaka.
Sato portrays the comedy duo "Black Stone" in his upcoming film "Manzai Gang" with comedian Ayabe Yuji. At the NGK, Sato performed manzai (the Japanese term for stand-up comedy) with Ayabe under the persona of their film characters, with veteran comedian Nakata Kaus praising�them, saying, "They're great!"
"Manzai Gang" will hit�theaters�on March 19th.
