In a post marked June 1st on rock band BLiSTAR's official site, vocalist MAYU announced that she had married her long-time boyfriend and is now six months pregnant. Furthermore, the singer wrote, "After consulting with the other members and staff, and considering my own health, as of today, June 1st, we have decided to take a short break from all band activities."

"We're not stopping any individual activities, so please continue supporting BLiSTAR as you always have! I would love to see you at our concert when the three of us can perform together again!", she wrote to the fans.

BLiSTAR's members MAYU, RINA (guitar), and NANA-A (drums) joined together under the band name THE PINK?PANDA in 2004 and began their career in the indies genre. In 2009 they changed their name to BLiSTAR and made their major debut in November of the same year with the album, "B". They also released their first cover album, "ROCKIN' COVER~Rock&Sexy~", on March 16th of this year.
