Comedian duo Oriental Radio's member Fujimori Shingo's agency announced through a fax to major media outlets on Wednesday that he will be taking a short break from activities due to contracting epidemic keratoconjunctivitis.

According to the statement, Fujimori had experienced discomfort in his eye since June 3rd, and on the 6th was diagnosed with epidemic keratoconjunctivis in a metropolitan hospital. Since it may take a week to 10 days to recover fully, he will be taking a short break.

Fujimori said, "I truly apologize for causing trouble to the staff and fans at this time. I'll do my best to come back energetically as soon as possible, so please cheer for me from now on as well."
