On May 29th, actress Ayase Haruka attended a press conference for Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Ayase, who appeared at the event dressed up as Colonel Sanders, greeted the crowd saying, "I'm Ayase Harucolonel Sanders." She also challenged herself to making KFC's original chicken.

While making the chicken, powder flew into Ayase's face, causing her to sneeze. After trying the chicken, company president Watanabe Masao commented, "It's hard to believe this is her first time making it. I'm the only one in the world to eat the original chicken made by Ayase Harucolonel Sanders. I'm very moved."

During the press conference, it was announced that the "Original Chicken Handmade Challenge Contest" will be held on July 4th. Ayase called out, "Do your best by studying my recipe."

Last November, KFC discovered an unpublished autobiography written by Sanders. The press conference also announced the completion of the Japanese version of this autobiography. This book will be revealed through KFC's official website on June 6th, and will also be donated to educational institutions and libraries.
