It's been revealed that rock band SOPHIA will be going on hiatus after wrapping up their current nationwide tour.

Regarding their hiatus, the band members explained, "As we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2014, we wanted to have a time where we reconsider our activities until now, as well as our future as artists, the existence of the fans supporting us, and the music each and every member should be expressing as SOPHIA." Their last live before their hiatus will be on August 12 at Nippon Budokan.

SOPHIA formed back in 1994, and made their major debut in 1995. Upon their 15th anniversary in 2010, the band put a halt to their activities after�member�Miyako Keiichi (Key) announced that he had lyphoma. They restarted their activities the following year, and released their new album, "Mirai Otona Sengen", this March.
