Mr.Children will be releasing their new song, "REM", as a digital single on May 29th.

As previously reported, "REM" is a rock tune that was written as the theme song for the film, 'Real ~Kanzen naru Kubinagaryu no Hi~', which will open in theaters on June 1st. The film's producer Hirano Takashi commented, "'REM' is Mr.Children's most intense rock song, and it's also a song that you've never heard before in the Japanese rock scene."

'Real ~Kanzen naru Kubinagaryu no Hi~' stars Sato Takeru, Ayase Haruka, Nakatani Miki, Odagiri Joe, and Koizumi Kyoko, and directed by Kurosawa Kiyoshi.
