Popular group Kanjani8's latest single "Namida no Kotae" (released on June 12th) sold 249,000 copies in the first week, and topped Oricon's weekly single ranking. 

This marked their 11th consecutive chart topping single since "Wonderful World!!", and 19th single in total (when including "ER" which was released under the name Eight Ranger).

"Namida no Kotae" is the theme song for member Okura Tadayoshi's starring film "100-kai Naku Koto" (to be released on the 22nd), and it was written and composed by SEKAI NO OWARI's Saori and Nakajin. The whole music video has a storyline, and it became a hot topic among fans with its tear-jerking story.
