Kimura Takuya and Kudo Shizuka's daughter Koki will be providing the song "Katasumi" to singer Miura Daichi. It is used as the insert song for NTV's drama 'Hakui no Senshi!' which premiered on April 10.
Starring Nakajo Ayami and Mizukawa Asami, 'Hakui no Senshi!' is a drama about nurses who work hard and grow in their careers. As previously reported, Johnny's WEST's "Ame Nochi Hare" was picked up as its theme song.
On the song, Miura commented, "It's beautiful and delicate with a melody in which you can feel deep pain and big affection." He also praised Koki saying, "Koki-chan is straightforward, has a backbone, and really wonderful. I was very happy to create a song together like this."
Meanwhile, Koki stated, "I am very excited that my song was selected. It's a song I wrote hoping that it would be sung by an artist with a high tone voice and capability. So I feel very happy that Miura Daichi-san will be singing it." She continued, "I really like Miura-san's voice, so I feel honored that he will be breathing life into my song."
"Katasumi" will be released together with "Corner" as Miura's 25th single on June 12.
