Fairies have announced their disbandment. 

According to the announcement on the group's official website, the five members felt it was difficult to all move together in the same direction. Among the five, Ito Momoka and Shimomura Miki will remain with their agency Rising Production and carry out solo activities. Meanwhile, Nomoto Sora and Hayashida Mahiro will end their contracts, but will continue working in showbiz. Finally, Inoue Rikako plans to retire. 

Fairies is a dance and vocal group that debuted in September of 2011 with the concept "a world-class talented group that is able to compete overseas." In December of the same year, they were named the best newcomer of the year at the '53rd Japan Record Awards.' They have released 17 singles and 2 albums.
