DIR EN GREY will release a new digital single titled "Ochita Koto no Aru Sora" on August 3. 

DIR EN GREY was scheduled to hold their one-man live 'The Insulated World -The Screams of Alienation-' on July 23 and 24 at Pia Arena MM (Kanagawa), but it was cancelled as they were unable to arrange a concert that would represent the band's real essence while adhering to the government's guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19. In place, the band carried out a project called 'DIR EN GREY AUDIO LIVESTREAM: The Insulated World -The Screams of Alienation-' where they released a playlist on YouTube Premiere based on the set list that was supposed to be played during the concerts. 

One of the songs on the playlist was a "Promotion Edit Ver." of their new song "Ochita Koto no Aru Sora." The full version will be released on August 3.
