On August 14th, Baba Fumika's (25) agency announced that the actress has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus. 

The announcement states, "On August 13th, our agency's Baba Fumika was confirmed to have the novel coronavirus, so we would like to make an announcement." On the night of the 12th, Baba had a fever, but her temperature returned to normal on the morning of the 13th. "Just to make sure, she visited a medical institution later that afternoon to receive the antigen and PCR tests. As the antigen test came back positive, the medical institution and health center diagnosed her with the novel coronavirus," they explained. 

Under guidance of the health center, Baba is currently resting at home awaiting follow-up. One of the staff members was considered to be a person of close contact and was also tested on the 13th.
