On November 4, actress Kawaei Rina attended an event to disseminate and raise awareness regarding domestic violence.

Kawaei was appointed as the campaign navigator to promote consultation services for domestic violence and child abuse, which have been implemented by the Cabinet Office since October. She will be appearing in its TV and WEB commercials. 

The number for consultation services for domestic violence has been set to "#8008" and child abuse to "189." Kawaei, who became a mom last November, commented, "Small children can't signal SOS by themselves, so I want the people around them to dial this number." She continued, "Domestic violence has an image of physical abuse such as being hit and kicked, but I learned that it includes verbal abuse. Other people don't know about the problems at home. Don't struggle by yourself."
