Miyawaki Sakura has announced her graduation from HKT48.

This announcement was made on May 15 during an event that was streamed from HKT48 Theater. Miyawaki commented, "It's a short period, but I am preparing various things until my graduation to bring a little bit of hope to everyone in HKT48 and joy to all of my fans." 

Miyawaki's graduation concert will be held on June 19, and will be streamed online as well. More details on this will be revealed at a later date. 

Miyawaki made her debut as a first generation member of HKT48 in 2011. From 2014 to 2018, she held a concurrent position in HKT48 and AKB48. After participating in the audition program 'PRODUCE48,' she took a break from her activities in the AKB48 group, and became a member of Korean-Japanese idol group IZ*ONE with HKT48's Yabuki Nako and AKB48's Honda Hitomi. She recently returned to Japan after IZ*ONE disbanded in April.
