It's been reported that Kashiwagi Yuki has undergone surgery on June 25 to remove intramedullary spinal cord tumor.

After receiving a thorough physical examination for the first time in her life for a segment for TV Tokyo's 'Shujii ga Mitsukaru Shinryosho SP,' Kashiwagi was diagnosed with a rare disorder called syringomyelia. Consequently, she is taking a break from her activities in order to devote herself to treatment.

According to an announcement by Watanabe Entertainment, the surgery was over seven hours long. The surgery was a success, and she has already started rehab. Her doctor in charge commented, "While we have overcome the first hurdle, there are more hurdles ahead including rehab, so she needs to stay alert and focus on treatment."
