On July 27, Arimura Kasumi's agency FLaMme denied reports about the actress that were published by 'Josei Jisin' on the same day. 

They released a statement on Arimura's official Twitter account saying, "Regarding the article being published on today's weekly magazine. It is completely groundless, and we are planning to take legal action." 

'Josei Jisin' reported that Arimura is in a relationship with sumo wrestler Meisei Chikara. Her staff explained, "She has no acquaintance with anybody in sumo wrestling. She has never been in contact with him, nor has made comments about him." Finally, they stated, "We as her agency strongly object the fact that Arimura Kasumi's actions and feelings are being told falsely through groundless articles."
