On September 29, Ohta Production sent a fax announcement to media outlets stating that former NGT48/AKB48 member and actress Kitahara Rie has tied the knot with actor Kasahara Hideyuki.

In a joint statement, the couple wrote, "At this time, we, Kasahara Hideyuki and Kitahara Rie, would like to announce that we have gotten married. From now on, we will lift each other up, support each other, and comfort each other, while creating warm times as a family."

Both Kitahara and Kasahara have also made the announcement on their respective Twitter accounts.
