It's been announced that rock band WEAVER will be disbanding on February 26, 2023.
The band's official website states, "At this time, it has been decided that WEAVER will be ending our activities and disbanding on February 26, 2023. As high school classmates, we formed the band in 2004 and made our major debut on October 21, 2009. About 13 years since our debut, and 18 years as a band, we spent long years running until today."
Regarding the decision to disband, they explained, "Due to the recent influence of the novel coronavirus, we were unable to carry out our activities as planned, but spent a lot of time facing ourselves. We talked numerous times about what each of us thought and felt, and reached the conclusion that rather than the three of us continue our activities as WEAVER, we should move forward in the direction we should go."
They expressed, "We are grateful for all of our fans as well as persons concerned for supporting us until now. Please watch over the members's futures as we each move toward our dreams."
Prior to their disbandment, WEAVER will hold concerts on February 11, 2023 at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, where they first held their hall live in Tokyo, and on February 26, 2023 at Kobe International House, which is considered to be the band's "holy ground."
