
On July 9, AKB48 member Kashiwagi Yuki updated her Twitter account announcing that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
She wrote, "I tested positive after taking a PCR test for work. I will be taking a break from any immediate work and SNS. I apologize for the inconvenience and trouble caused to all parties concerned."
She added, "I don't have any symptoms like the fever, but I will continue to recuperate at home under guidance of the medical institution and health center."
Kashiwagi also tested positive for the virus in January making this her second infection this year.
