SCANDAL members MAMI (G, Vo), TOMOMI (B, Vo), and RINA (Dr, Vo) have tested positive for COVID-19. As such, it's been announced that their current ongoing North American tour 'SCANDAL WORLD TOUR 2022 ~MIRROR~ North America' has been cancelled.
The group's North American tour just kicked off on July 9th in Toronto. After their Atlanta concert on the 15th, they learned that TOMOMI had been infected with the virus. They originally postponed their Chicago and Vancouver concerts on the 16th and 18th and were coordinating make-up shows, but MAMI and RINA later tested positive so they canceled the remainder of the tour.
As for HARUNA (Vo, G), she has a sore throat, but all of her test results have come back negative. She wrote on her social media accounts, "It's very disappointing, but we've reached this decision. All of the members will first focus on recuperating. We weren't able to finish the tour, but we were happy to receive a lot of love and power at the four locations. Wherever we are in the world, our hearts are connected. We love everybody! Thank you!"
SCANDAL is also scheduled to hold a European tour in September. At this time, they have not revealed whether or not the tour will be held as scheduled.
