In the latest movie attendance rankings (covering September 8th to 10th), "City Hunter: Angel Dust," the animated adaptation of Tsukasa Hojo's popular manga, soared to the number one spot on its opening day. Within just three days, it drew in a whopping 211,000 moviegoers and racked up an impressive ¥325 million in box office earnings.
The movie explores the origins of Ryo Saeba, with the original cast, including Akira Kamiya as Ryo Saeba and Kazue Ikura as Kaori Makimura, reuniting for the project. The film is helmed by Kenji Kodama, the first director of the TV series, with Kazuyoshi Takeuchi as the director.

And there you have it, another blockbuster success for "City Hunter". It's no wonder that "City Hunter" remains one of my all-time favorite animations.
