Earlier this month, the agency held a press conference in Tokyo, where CEO Julie Katsuko Fujishima officially acknowledged Kitagawa's actions and issued an apology. Fujishima stepped down as president, and popular talent Kiyoshi Higashiyama took over as the new president.

In their recent statement, the agency apologized once more, stating, "As we mentioned in the press conference on September 7th, we acknowledge the long-standing sexual harassment by the late Johnny Kitagawa, and we sincerely apologize to the victims. Regarding the sexual harassment issue, we will take the following compensation and prevention measures based on recommendations from the Special Team for Prevention of Recurrence."

They also announced the establishment of a Victims' Relief Committee and the opening of a compensation reception desk, following the recommendations of the Special Team for Prevention of Recurrence. In addition, they mentioned plans to release more specific prevention measures based on the team's recommendations, including the formulation of human rights policies, by the end of September.

The statement concluded with a commitment to rebuilding trust, acknowledging that it will be a long journey. They called for understanding and support from everyone, promising that talents and staff will work together for the agency's fresh start.
