On December 26, singer Aikawa Nanase (48) updated her Instagram account announcing that she has passed the entrance exam for Kokugakuin University Graduate School and will be attending in the spring.
Aikawa started studying at Kokugakuin University at 45 years old, and is currently a senior. From spring, she will study folklore at its Graduate School of Letters.
She commented, "In my undergraduate studies, I looked at gods and festivals from the perspective of shrines, but in graduate school starting in spring, I will look at gods and festivals from the perspective of parishioners, and pursue the significance of preserving Japan’s Shinto rituals and festivals for future generations."
Aikawa also announced the establishment of "Culture Plus," a general incorporated association, to expand the scope of these activities. "Next year, I would like to help revitalize the Shinto rituals and festivals not only in the regions involved, but also throughout the country," she said.
Congratulations!
