Fuji Fabric to go on hiatus next year

TH STAFF

It's been announced that Fuji Fabric will be going on hiatus in February of 2025.

The band formed in 2000 and made their major debut with the single "Sakura no Kisetsu" in 2004. After Shimura Masahiko passed away in December of 2009, Yamauchi Soichiro (Vo, G), Kato Shinichi (B), and Kanazawa Daisuke (Key) have been keeping it running as a three-member band.

According to the announcement, Kanazawa had originally wanted to leave the band after giving it his all for their latest album "PORTRAIT" along with their 20th anniversary year. After numerous discussions with the members and staff, he still felt strongly that he did everything he could for the band over the past 20 years.

During their hiatus, the members will each focus on their individual careers. They commented, "We honestly do not know whether or not this path will lead us back to Fuji Fabric. Right now, we will dedicate our entire body and soul to each concert and song.

Fuji Fabric is scheduled to hold their 20th anniversary live "THE BEST MOMENT" on August 4 at Tokyo Garden Theater, then a join live with Quruli and ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION on November 10 at Osaka-jo Hall.
